Our True History Is Etched in Stone

For years specialist have maintained the idea that there were no humans in the new world prior to the Clovis people.  Up until recently it was difficult to get funding for suggesting that there maybe something worthwhile looking for back beyond the 12,000 years. With more and more discoveries of sites supporting the idea that there were folks living here in the new world prior to the C...

Bear Burials

Image
In 2017 I was visiting family in New York city. Hoping to catch my son during lunch up in Manhattan. I took the red line to Wall Street and then walked  to find myself looking at the Trinity chapel built in 1839. The original building was built in 1698. Next to the church are burial  grounds. I was already very aware of all the information found on the stones in Maine. I was eager to see if this was a unique situation in my area. I had not heard of anyone else seeing this material and sure enough it was everywhere there were rocks in NYC. In fact even the tombstones in the Trinity Chapel burial grounds were indigenous artifacts.           I was already accustom to seeing these carvings around me, although I was not expecting to see them here In NYC on tombstones. The lighting was not great so my pictures are not the best quality, but you can still make out some of the imagery. On the tombstone above on the left, there is a fro...

The Maine Totem Stone

Image
I live in the state of Maine. I spent time painting water scenes along Maine's rocky  coast. With good eyes one can easily spot arrowheads lying about, some with almost perfect symmetry. These symmetrical points are associated with the Red paint people. They are beautiful and easy to identify.        In the image above, carefully observe the napping patterns on the surface of the stone. You can get familiar with the surface of a worked stone. This period began some say, as early as 10,000 to 7000 years ago. You want to get familiar with napped surface and edges to be able to identify them in the future.        One day while painting on the beach, I began to notice other tool shapes as well, like curved scrapers, serrated edges, awls, adzes and chisels.  After getting comfortable identifying many tools, I began to notice animal forms napped into the stone that were associated with the function of each tool. For example, h...

The Stone Totem Pole

Image
I have been finding multiple images on stone tools, amulets, counting stones, and rock walls here in the state of Maine. The images are consistent in subject and placement like the numbers on the face of a clock. There are variations, but the overall patterns are consistent. Material is everywhere in Maine. When I say multiple images, I mean more layers than that of an onion. I am an old so I've been spying this for years. The use of the pen with my Samsung note, I finally can purge this material. I hope you forgive my scribblings on the stones. I have steadily improved, but the true work of art is already in the stone. This material is fascinating and beautiful. There is so me consistent material that wraps around stone artifacts. Like a totem pole, images are intertwined but instead of stacked, they wrap around stone tools, amulets, counting stones, even on large erratics. I live in Maine, a hostile climate for even rocks. The land her e is st...
